City Water Filter 5 Year Warranty

City Water Filter (CWF) provides more than just installation services for your water treatment equipment. We are there for our customers before, during, and after a purchase. We stand behind our installed products. This is why we offer a 5-Year and/or 10-Year warranty on CWF-provided products. We want our customers to be happy with the experience and the products.

5-Year Limited Warranty

The City Water Filter warranty provides five (5) years of protection for any leaks or defective equipment under normal use. City Water Filter will repair or replace equipment at no cost against defects. City Water Filter assumes costs associated with labor and repair or replacement of equipment. All labor and parts serviced by City Water Filter. The warranty applies only to the original owner of systems sold and installed by City Water Filter. Exclusions apply. Warranty DOES NOT include damages unrelated to normal use or damages due to improper maintenance of equipment. Not following recommended maintenance voids warranty. Warrantable products will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of City Water Filter. City Water Filter is not responsible for any water loss causing water bills to rise nor any leak detection company charges.

EXCLUSIONS:

Warranty applies only if the system is installed, used, and maintained in compliance with all instructions. Water treatment systems and filter replacements must be purchased from City Water Filter for warranty to be applicable.

Warranty DOES NOT include damages unrelated to normal use or improper maintenance of equipment, defects not reported within the applicable warranty period, or damages caused by tampering, misuse, acts of nature or problems resulting from abuse, misuse, negligence or accidents, impacts, corrosive liquids, gases, or chemicals. Problems resulting in whole or in part from alteration, modification, or attempted repairs of these products or parts by any party other than City Water Filter. Damages caused by exposure to vacuum, freezing, external impact, chemical attack from liquids and gasses, fires, floods, and lightning is excluded from warranty. Damages caused by construction on water lines is excluded from warranty. Does not cover problems resulting from failure to comply with operation or maintenance instruction and/or operation.

Filter replacements are NOT part of warranty service. All parts that require regular replacement as a result of ordinary use are excluded. Annual filter replacement is required to ensure your system operates to full water treatment and quality capacity. Failure to comply with filter change as instructed will void warranty. City Water Filter is happy to assist with your filter change needs; however, customers should assume the cost of filters and labor.

Note: Filter life expectancy varies depending on many factors such water usage and water quality. City Water Filter is not responsible for changes in water quality that reduce filter life such as sediment, bad plumbing upstream, etc.

Water leaks that occur due to reasons related to plumbing, but not caused by water filtration equipment or installation are not covered. City Water Filter is not responsible for pre-existing plumbing (age, defect, etc.) or consequential damage or issues resulting from our contact with questionable plumbing (Example: A fitting breaks or leaks from normal use or contact). City Water Filter is not responsible for any excessive water loss causing water bills to rise nor any leak detection company charges.

City Water Filter can service leaks unrelated to our systems. Customers can also choose to contact a plumber. When City Water Filter arrives to service a leak unrelated to the installation of our equipment a $125.00 fee (trip charge) will be applied. This charge can be absorbed into the customer authorized repair cost. If customers are unsure about the cause of a leak near the water treatment equipment, customers should contact CWF to discuss. All prices subject to change without notice.

Installations of Non-CWF systems done by City Water Filter have a workmanship warranty of thirty (30) days following the date of installation. A workmanship warranty covers you from any installation errors. After the thirty-day period, a $125.00 fee for the trip charge will be applied.

All Filters per manufacturer specifications to be free from defects (i.e., Whole House Sediment, Whole House Carbon, Fluoride Tank, Mineral Filter, etc.)
2-Pure H2O Purification System
Reverse Osmosis System
Tyent Water Ionizer
Flotrol F20 SVE installed before September 4th, 2021
Fleck 5810 SXT installed before September 4th, 2021

All Filters (Whole house sediment, whole house carbon, Fluoride tanks, Mineral, etc.) per manufacturer specifications to be free from defects

City Water Filter will make all reasonable efforts to resolve warranty claim to customer satisfaction. Any further dispute will proceed to arbitration at expense of customer/complainant.

10-Year Limited Warranty for Softeners

The City Water Filter warranty provides ten (10) years of protection for any leaks or defective equipment under normal use. City Water Filter will repair or replace equipment at no cost against defects. City Water Filter assumes costs associated with labor and repair or replacement of equipment. All labor and parts serviced by City Water Filter. The warranty applies only to the original owner of systems sold and installed by City Water Filter. Exclusions apply. Warranty DOES NOT include damages unrelated to normal use or damages due to improper maintenance of equipment. Not following recommended maintenance voids warranty. Warrantable products will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of City Water Filter. City Water Filter is not responsible for any water loss causing water bills to rise nor any leak detection company charges.

EXCLUSIONS:

Regular maintenance such as salt service is NOT a part of warranty service. All parts and materials that require regular replacement as a result of ordinary use are excluded. Failure to comply with regular maintenance as instructed will void warranty. City Water Filter is happy to assist with your maintenance needs; however, customers should assume the cost of materials and labor.

Note: Softener life expectancy varies depending on many factors such as water usage and water quality. City Water Filter is not responsible for system deterioration due to water usage outside of standard parameters or changes in water quality that reduce softener life such as sediment, bad plumbing upstream, etc.

Water leaks that occur due to plumbing not caused by the water filtration equipment or installation are not covered. City Water Filter is not responsible for pre-existing plumbing (age, defect, etc.) or consequential damage or issues resulting from our contact with questionable plumbing (Example: A fitting breaks or leaks from normal use or contact). City Water Filter is not responsible for any excessive water loss causing water bills to rise nor any leak detection company charges.
