I have waited some time to review the water system installed by City Water Filter.
First of all, Clay was very helpful, informative, and very professional. I had the reverse osmosis filtration with alkaline filtration added installed in my new townhouse. At first, initial set up cost seemed a bit high but 3 months in…lemme tell you that it was well worth it. I don’t even drink water from work anymore but I take a 32oz Nalgene water bottle with me pretty much everywhere. If you have your own place, just do it. Even if you don’t take hydration seriously, do it for yourself and your family.
1. Completely Odorless – as water should be, unlike tap, unlike other ad hoc filtration systems(Brita, PUR, etc)
2. Completely clear – not a darn thing ever floating in my water
3. Taste – absolutely most palatable water I have ever tasted. You have to taste it to understand what I am talking about.
4. Improves flavor -coffee, tea, or even making rice, things turn out much better with this filtration system.
5. Low maintenance – once installed, there is not much you do other than get filters changed every year. Simple as that.The dispenser looks as though it came with the house to begin with and water flow is controlled by a lever, which I like, and not a knob.
I will post some pictures and update my review once I have the filters replaced.
Clay was incredibly helpful and informative getting me set up with a reverse osmosis system. I appreciated his scientific perspective on water quality, and awesome professionalism. I can also see that there is starting to be more awareness about what Clay has been teaching to one household at a time when I did a little research on my own: hsph.harvard.edu/news/fe…. Plus he matched my new water spout to my current one so aesthetically the two faucets in my kitchen match.

Clay is awesome!
We’ve been seeing cloudiness and brownish looking water over the past several years due to construction in our area. We decided to look into getting a whole house water filter system to improve the quality of our water.
Clay came highly recommended by a neighbor, so we gave him a call. As it turned out, he had a cancellation and was at our house that same day…on a Saturday!
After we explained our concerns to Clay, he went to check the toilet tank, which he says is the number one indicator of how clean your water is. We have 3 toilets and all 3 tanks were covered in brown residue! This confirmed our suspicions that our water has not been clean for a long time.
Clay is very knowledgeable about the different types of filtration systems available. He took the time to explain all the different options and helped us choose the system that best suits our family.
It has been several months now since we’ve had our reverse osmosis filtration system and we are so pleased with the results. No more brown water!
There have been a couple times when I’ve had questions and Clay has always gotten back to me on the same day.
Needless to say, I highly recommend contacting Clay at City Water Filter if you’re looking to improve the quality of water in your house.
We had a reverse osmosis and whole house filter installed. Clay was very helpful in helping us decide what to get installed first that would suit our needs. He did not try to up sale any products. It was very comforting to know that he had a background in water and he was very knowledgable about the filters. He helped us understand what each type did so we can decide what kind of filter we wanted to install first. The systems were half the price of Rain soft filters that we were looking at from Home Depot. Clay presented no pressure and answered every questions we had with great patience. The products are of high quality, the price is beyond reasonable, and the service is priceless. I highly recommend considering City Water Filter.
Clay is honest, professional, and knowledgeable about water and the mechanics of a water filter. He’s a trained engineer and has worked in water management.
After many bad experiences with our RO system, including a plumber who wired it backwards, I learned that most plumbers don’t know much about water filters. They can install one with instructions, but can’t troubleshoot when something goes wrong. Most ‘experts’ I called about the problem with our 3 month old system tried to have me spend $400 on a brand new one (!!!), but Clay knew he could fix our existing system. He even tested the water once he was done!
Beyond that, Clay and his team are all around helpful and nice. While Clay was re-wiring our RO, his partner Steve helped my husband hang a curtain he was having trouble with! I’m grateful to have found these guys.

I contacted Clay yesterday about replacing a 10 year old, 5 stage R.O. water filtration system at my home that has failed, and Clay took the time to explain to me about the benefit of replacing it with a 6 stage R.O. water filtration system, and it was extremely refreshing to finally talk to someone that has extensive knowledge about the R.O. water filtration system!
During the entire conversation I have had with Clay he never once said anything derogatory about other R.O. water filtration system like some of the other Companies I have called and talked to this past week.
In fact, I felt so comfortable after talking to Clay on the phone for 15 minutes that I scheduled an install at my home for this morning. Clay arrive at my home 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled time, and quickly and swiftly removed my old system and upgraded it with a new 6 stage R.O. water filtration system in under an hour. He even cleaned up all my plumbing under the sink and installed quick disconnect shut off valves for me at no charge.
I was especially impressed with how quickly the water storage tank filled up the filtered “Drinking” water, and after my wife and I drank the water from the new 6 stage R.O. water filtration system we were pleasantly surprised at how much better it tasted that we decided we will no longer have a need to buy bottled water from Costco. Wow!
If you are looking for a straight forward, no-nonsense and honest Individual who can professionally install a very high quality 6 stage R.O.
